Revolution: Phase I, Turning of the Intellectuals *
If you’ve had the opportunity to read chapter 8, On Revolution, in New American Revolution, you have some familiarity with the 4 stages of revolution, the first cumulating with the “Turning of the Intellectuals”.
It has occurred to me today, after listening to a number of left, to left leaning commentators come out for Ron Paul, that the good Dr. Paul is the most likely figure, or point of reference, around which the nations intelligencia, for lack of a better term, will begin to rally around.
It is interesting to note that it is the left that is leading the right to the more conservative Ron Paul, rather than visa versa, and also quite troubling for those who view themselves as “Conservatives”, and have been rejecting Ron Paul out of hand in favor of a rather unimpressive field of Republican candidates for President.
However, seeing that the “Left” is kind of stuck with Barack (Barry Soetoro) Obama as their candidate, and not having the courage yet to totally reject him, it is indicative of the growing desperate straights that both the Republican and Democratic parties are going to increasingly find themselves treading water in: The depths of which they will soon find themselves fighting with the scions of Wall Street, each fighting to try to keep their heads above water.
Clearly, it will be Ron Paul and the Ron Paul campaign for President, that this “turning of the intellectuals”, representing the commentators and personalities of the talking heads and society in our collective media, that will increasingly flock to as the representative of the rejection of our current government. This will occur because this intelligencia will soon begin to increasingly reflect America. And America is rapidly getting tired of the government.
Still, I don't see an alternative to the highly unlikely figure of Ron Paul that the nation will quickly gravitate to, as Ron Paul will become the center of the rejection of our current governments right to govern.
Then both American and the world will become will become increasingly aware of the presence of revolution in America. This is a revolution that is in full swing, and I find it amazing that no one really notices that drastic changes that are taking place today.
Of course, few see the trickle of water from the dike, but everyone knows when the damn breaks. It will be important then, to see that we are prepared for the second stage, or phase, of revolution. Because here in the second stage, America must be prepared so as to avoid falling into the trap of the third and most violent stage of revolution. That stage which this book seeks to “front-run” and avoid.
This is the primary purpose of the Contract With Americans: 2012, hoping to avoid the chance of violence occurring in the new American revolution. And having heard Ron Paul in person, this is exactly how he sees his mission. I was somewhat pleased to hear him say that, understanding that I had managed to independently come to the same analytical position of the good Dr. Paul. It is no wonder that I can support no other candidate for President and I encourage everyone else to do the same.
But eventually, this is a conclusion I think most will ultimately arrive upon themselves. I am only glad that I have caught up with the leadership of Ron Paul and can help spread the word.
Wish us all luck, we can use all we can get.
