So much has been said about the recent NYTimes article on how Apple iPhone production had to go China, and why America is no longer competitive in the manufacture of e-hardware.
I’d like to add a perspective.
It all revolves around Foxcomm City, the China manufacturer of iPhones and such employing 230,000 employees, many of which live on site in dormitories working for $17 a day, on 12 hour shifts.
When the iPhone was a few weeks from introduction to the markets, the iPhone was undergoing last minute adjustments to an altered screen. The screen glass arrived at the Foxcomm City factory about midnight and ramrods rousted 8000 sleepy dormitory rats out of bed with a cracker and cup of tea to start a 12 stint of assembling iPhones for Apple, and the then living and breathing billionaire, Steve Jobs. Within 96 hours, 10,000 iPhones were coming out the doors every 24 hours and the iPhone was a great success.
The writing was on the wall…in blood. America couldn’t compete with such a labor force, a slave labor force.
Nothing like it exists in America, and well it should not; by every standard it shouldn’t exist anywhere, but it does in China. And it is, or was, supported by Apple. And tomorrow it will be another American multi-national corporation and another day.
And that might not be such the tragedy it is, but the only reason these Chinese live in abject slavery is because the Chinese government is, has been, and continues to be supported by the policies of the American government. And our government is, has, and will continue to hand the American people the bill to pay for our own ultimate destruction.
How does this happen you ask? Because America has, is, and continues to allowed the Chinese government to depreciate artificially their currency, since 1994. And we have been allowing China to do this on an increasingly larger scale that allows them to survive, operating a tyrannical government of party and military kleptocracy that maintains its oppressive grip on the world’s largest population.
In doing so, America has buried our future in debt to the China we have enabled.
America is, has, and continues in essence to support the enslavement of vast segments of the Chinese people in order to maintain China’s expanding economy, by which means they maintain and support the justification of their singular Communist Party rule.
Tyranny, a failed economic model, requires extra-ordinary exploitation of its population to exist, but ultimately, it must fail… unless it is supported externally through wars of conquest. Or in the case of China, it feeds off of a financial and militarily superior nation. A nation willing to stand still and be bled white by the misguided and traitorous behavior of a government purchased by moneychangers, making more money by feeding the dragon.
That host to this parasite is America, allowing China to exist in a financial fantasy-land where a Yuan worth nearly a dollar is treated like two bits, all to the temporary profit and permanent ruin of America, as her industrial might is shipped overseas, jobs and factories at a time.
It is more than just the exploitation by the moneychangers enabling the extremes of tyranny against the Chinese people on a far greater scale than their crimes against America. This is the face of a world war that pits liberty against tyranny. And liberty must relearn the lesson that Ronald Reagan showed us in winning the First Cold War. And that is that freedom trumps tyranny. And unless liberty is to avoid subjugation by tyranny, it must fight.
The fight, if to spare the world the actual violence of a shooting war, is to wage that war on every financial and political battle field, taking care to subvert the tyrannical oppressor in his back yard by offering his people liberty and freedom, while pressing him into bankruptcy and eventual ruin, but never resorting to arms, unless the tyrant strikes out in frustration. For ours is the strategy of subjugation of the enemy by internal revolution, based upon the offer of liberty and freedom, financed by liberty and freedom.
This is the Pax Americana, the Peace of Freedom. It takes care not to physically attack the tyrant nation, which only serves to rally the people to the tyrant; always taking care to be empowered enough to disuade this retaliation. Our strategy is to rally his oppressed people against him, preying upon the tyrant’s greatest weakness, the peoples ultimate yearning for freedom. This is the strategy of the Peace of Freedom, and it will always play to America's own strength, the Pax Americana.
Such foreign policy is directly at odds with America’s prevailing foreign policy, represented by the Wolfowitz Doctrine; a doctrine of American oppression the world over for the last four presidential administrations, a neo-con policy that has operated uninterrupted since 1988.
Today, this is the face America shows the world in our policy in support of tyranny, for America has become a tyrannical government in act and deed. And tyranny, the failed economic model, will always consume, and eventually destroy, the oppressor, tyranny.
Let America be warned.
